On Sunday, December 14, 2025, the International Sustainable Research and Education Network (ISREN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Mutual Academic Supervision Agreement with the University of Science and Technology – Aden. This strategic move aims to strengthen academic cooperation, support scientific research, and elevate the quality of postgraduate supervision.
The agreements were signed by Dr. Abdullah Faisal Al-Shalif, CEO of ISREN, and Dr. Abdulghani Hamid Ahmed, President of the University of Science and Technology – Aden.
The Memorandum of Understanding establishes a general framework for joint cooperation in higher education, scientific research, and training. It also facilitates the exchange of academic, administrative, and technical expertise to build effective partnerships that enhance the educational process.
The Mutual Academic Supervision Agreement is designed to support postgraduate students by providing qualified supervisors, particularly leveraging the expertise of Yemeni researchers abroad. This initiative aims to improve the quality of scientific research and academic publication in line with accredited standards. The agreement remains valid throughout the student's actual study duration.
The signing ceremony was attended by members of the ISREN Executive Council:
Dr. Murad Bahadi: Director of Academic Cooperation with Yemeni Universities.
Dr. Hisham Hussein Rasem: Director of Executive Affairs for Follow-up and Secretariat.
Dr. Samah Al-Mansouri: Director of Women's Academic Empowerment in Yemen.
Representing the university was Dr. Fares Muthanna, Head of the Scientific Research Department and Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies.
The meeting was moderated by Dr. Samah Al-Mansouri, whose professional management contributed significantly to the success and organization of the signing ceremony.
Both parties emphasized that these agreements reflect a shared commitment to supporting sustainable scientific research, developing the higher education system, and fostering academic integration to serve scientific and cognitive development on both local and international levels.
